Senior Panel Builder

A successful candidate will be able to support the installation of machinery as required, including assembly, set-up, and machine operation to verify functioning, machine capability and conformance to customer’s specifications. In addition, assisting with assembly and programming of machines in the shop.

Job Duties

Responsibilities:

• Laying out panel back plates

• Drilling and cutting holes for electrical devices

• Mounting of components to back panels and enclosures

• Assemble electrical components into control panel

• Cut, strip, bend and mount wires to connect electrical units within a panel/control box

• Point to point wiring of relays, controls, PLCs, I/O Modules, VFDs, interfaces and instrumentation

• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure

• High standard of quality and attention to detail

• Perform all other duties assigned or as needed in a safe and productive manner

Qualifications:

• Communicate issues or quality with co-workers and supervisor

• Previous experience with control panel building/wiring is essential

• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines

• knowledge with components such as relays, PLC’s, contactors, power supply’s, etc.

• Demonstrable ability to use variety of hand/power tools and test equipment related to panel builder duties

• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability

• Diploma in relevant vocational training

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Familiar with basic hand and power tools

• Dependable and detail oriented

• Knowledge of reading electrical schematics and drawings is an asset

Pay: $32.00-$40.00 per hour
