Roles and Responsibilities


We are currently looking for a skilled and motivated Fabricator to join our team. You will be expected to produce custom parts/pieces while working with accurate measurements/ specifications. We are looking for an experienced individual with a keen eye for detail, can work independently while demonstrating and adhering to Health and Safety precautions.

A strong candidate will demonstrate a solid ability to:

  • Review drawings, instructions or sample parts to grasp the specifications of the project

  • Plan and organize the sequence of actions needed for completion

  • Select and setup the appropriate machines

  • Use various equipment for welding and fabricating, such as MIG and TIG welding, hand cutting equipment, etc.

  • Perform quality control on pieces produced to ensure they are within the proper specifications

  • Work from sketches, prints, operation sheets, preliminary drawings, and written/verbal instructions.

  • Perform routine machine maintenance to ensure the machines are working properly


Qualifications and Core Skills


  • At least 3 years’ experience in custom fabrication is an asset

  • At least 3 years’ experience in MIG and Stick welding, TIG welding is an asset

  • Ability to properly use precision tools to take accurate measurements

  • Solid knowledge of the properties of metals and other materials

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints and manuals

  • Solid math and analytical skills

  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting. Majority of tasks are completed independently, but must work with other team members, including mechanical designers, all trades, other welders, and supervisors, to plan work, confirm measurements and calculations, and to assist co-workers with tasks

  • Discuss work assignments with supervisor to understand expectations

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Flexible and adaptable as timelines and projects requirements change

Training for a variety of skills is available through internal and external training offerings. Employee progress will be evaluated annually through performance reviews.


Starting wage rates/hour will follow the ranges below and will be determined based on skill and experience:

  • Mid-Range Rate $24.00 - 31.00/hr

  • Senior Rate $32.00 - 39.00/hr
